RINGING IN THE NEW YEAR AT DISNEY

Tinkerbell flies out from high atop the Cinderella Castle as The Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks begin on New Year's Eve in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The show always starts off with Tinkerbell flying high above the Magic Kingdom on a zip line from the Castle to a landing pad behind Main Street. The cast member who plays Tinkerbell is usually a woman and cannot weigh more than 95 pounds due to the weight of the battery pack and costume.
