LONE TREE MILKY WAY
A lone tree stands under the Milky Way at Everglades National Park in Florida. If you're ever in South Florida and want to see a different side of the state other than the beaches, visiting Everglades National Park is a great place to visit. During the day you'll see plenty of native (and maybe some non-native) wildlife including alligators, crocodiles, birds such as the Great White Egret and Great Blue Heron, snakes, and other wildlife. At night Everglades National Park is one of the darkest places in the state which allows amazing views of the night sky and Milky Way.
My name is Mark Andrew Thomas and I'm a photographer and filmmaker currently residing in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I grew up in Florida right next to the Everglades and although I photograph a wide variety of subjects and locations, the Florida Everglades will always be my first love.
