Description
BLUE MORPHO BUTTERFLY
A Blue Morpho Butterfly rests on the trunk of a small tree at a butterfly habitat. You might be wondering why this butterfly is called a Blue Morpho since there is no blue to be seen, right? When this large butterfly opens it's wings the back of the wings are an amazing and vibrant blue color. I actually love both sides of the wings and this view shows it's very unique pattern that helps to ward off predators. The Morpho Butterfly is primarily found in South America, Central America, and Mexico.
