GODS OF NATURE

A sliver of a crescent moon rises over a lake underneath the Milky Way in the Florida Everglades. This was photographed at Big Cypress National Preserve in the southern part of Florida. Big Cypress National Preserve and Everglades National Park have some of the darkest skies in the state which makes for great viewing of the Milky Way. The Milky Way can be seen with the naked eye if you're in a dark enough location away from city lights and suburban areas.
