FROM THE HEAVENS

A Roseate Spoonbill lands in the shallow waters of the Florida Everglades in the early morning hours. Roseate Spoonbills are one of my favorite birds to photograph and are very distinctive with their spoon shaped bill and splash of pink color. Spoonbills use their spoon shaped bill to sweep up small bugs and insects in shallow waters by moving their heads from side to side.
