Description
THE PORTER MANSION IN KEY WEST
Not to be confused with the steak, the Porter House in Key West (also known as the Porter Mansion) was built in 1839 as a two-story house and then a third floor was added in 1870. The Porter House was the home of two popular establishments: a bar called Caroline's Other Side and The Abbey Bar & Grill. Unfortunately, both establishments have now closed although the house remains.
The Porter Mansion has been the site of many supposed ghost sightings through the years and paranormal investigators have explored the mansion to try and figure out what is going on. The house was added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1973.
