Description
HALL OF THE MEGALODON
A fossil of the great Megalodon Shark at the end of a dimly lit corridor at the Streamson Resort in Central Florida. This particular Megalodon is part fossil and part replica. The jaws are a replica but the teeth inside are very real Megalodon teeth dating back millions of years. The name Megalodon means "big tooth" and this shark swam the seas from the Early Miocene Era to the Pliocene Era. It could reach lengths of 59 feet and is regarded as one of the most powerful predators to have ever lived.
