Description
SANTA MONICA PIER
The last light of a beautiful sunset lights up the sky at dusk behind a ferris wheel at the Santa Monica Pier. The Santa Monica Pier has been around for over a century, it originally opened on September 9, 1909 and was the first concrete pier built on the West Coast. It was restored over a three period between 1987 and 1990.
The pier is also a frequent location for films and television shows. Television shows include Charlie's Angels, The Rockford Files, Drop Dead Diva, America's Next Top Model, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Star Trek: Voyager, Chuck, Life Without People, and many more. Films featuring the Santa Monica Pier include The Sting, A Night at the Roxbury, Titanic, and Forrest Gump among others.
